DETAILS | REQUESTS | ROLES AT RADIO MOYLE
There are a wide variety of roles
at Radio Moyle, each of which require different qualities from members. Some
of these roles are listed below:
- Presenters. Before a member
can become a programme presenter, they are trained on the console and then
produce a test tape (Usually a half hour programme). Once through this procedure
they can proceed into live broadcasting.
- Programme Assistants. The
role of the programme assistant is to help the presenter produce their programme.
This generally means collecting together the playlist, lining up the next
song to be played and taking part in the programme. Most presenters start
off life in Radio Moyle as programme assistants.
- Programme Researchers.
The role of the programme researcher is to research into a topic required
for a programme. For example, for a biography of a singer, the researcher
can look back through the singers' life finding out when they released singles
/ albums and how well these did in the charts.
- Librarians.
- Request Collectors.
For the members, we have a news sheet
which updates all members on current events and new programmes at Radio Moyle.
We also go on several outings throughout the year, for example ten pin bowling,
laser quest and a Christmas outing.
