of the 50s, 60s, 70s and 80s? Then this is the show for you! Antrim
Hospital Radio’s longest serving presenter brings to you the “Get
Back” show, 7 to 9pm every Monday evening. As well as playing
your requests, Tommy delves back into the archives finding the best
tunes from the last 5 decades, and a regular feature of a top 40 count
down from selected years - where he drops in chart facts and figures
along the way. Up tempo, up beat and up lifting – just what you
need to beat the Monday blues in hospital.
Tuesday
Easy listening
– the true relaxation zone. Great music from some of the leading
country and western, gospel and Irish singers. With a rich blend of
diverse requests, this makes for an enjoyable all music 2 hours.
Wednesday
The happening
place for those who like good tunes, up to date information about what’s
happening in and around their area and some good crac as well. The home
of the best sounds from the musicals.
Thursday
Old time tunes
– 20s, 30s, 40s and the 50s. Easy on the ear with such favourites
as Joseph Locke, Doris Day and Patsy Cline. Chat and show tunes with
patient requests throughout. Good company for a late night.
Friday
Hip, happening,
up-to-date – the contemporary show that covers the charts as well
as the firm favourites from the last decade. Music to have you saying
“I remember that one…I haven’t heard that for a while…I’d
forgotten how good that was…” A good way to spend your Friday
night in.
Saturday
4-6pm
The music box
– a musical extravaganza with all the big names and all the big
songs – guaranteed to please. Information on the best films and
TV shows. Always on the move and never a dull moment – a great
way to brighten up your Saturday afternoon.
6-8pm
All the firm
favourites – this woman will have you rocking in your beds to
the toe tapping tunes from the 60s right up to the cream of today’s
music - gospel, folk, Irish, Country and Western, easy listening, rock
- you name it, she plays it! With requests from the wards spread throughout
the show, there’s always plenty to suit everyone’s tastes.
A good all rounder show that helps the digestion of hospital food.
8-11pm
The late night
show – fun and country – includes the request hour from
8-9, with others spread throughout the show, the Pause for Thought and
the party hour 10-11 for the late night owls. Plenty to listen to -
regular interviews with a range of local folk, jokes, crac, background
to the songs and much much more.
